A local line of third sector line connecting 25.1km from Ena Station to Akechi Station, which connects to JR. All sections are non-electrified, single tracks with many steep hill sections, so you can run slowly and leisurely compared to general railways. You can enjoy a relaxing rail journey by looking the countryside scenery that flows through the train windows and the atmosphere of a stop station, some of which have been certified as railway heritage. In order to counter the decrease in the number of passengers due to the declining population along the railway, the company runs popular trains, such as a lunch box train called “Dining car” and a “Sake train” where you can drink alcohol. A nostalgic cityscape in the center of Akechi, Ena District, less than 20 minutes by electric bicycle from Kadono. This area was developed as a town revitalization project by the former Akechi Town before it merged with Ena District, and it is characterized by the fact that buildings are not merely present just as an exposition, but many of them are actually inhabited. Naturally, shops that are open are available, and there are plenty of retro spots to visit, such as the Taishomura Office and the Communication Museum. If you rent and change clothes at the Taisho Roman Museum in the center of Taishomura, you can enjoy a stroll in a retro town with a modern Taisho feel. A 15-minute train ride from Noshi Station, the nearest station to Kadono, or about 50-60 minutes from Kadono by electric rental bike while watching the rice fields. The castle town of Iwamura, where the townhouses of the Edo era remained for about 1 km, has once emerged as the center of politics, economy and culture in the Tono-Agriculture region. There are many shops offering “Gohei mochi” and matcha tea, as well as holidays where you can visit, as well as many attractions such as Iwamura Castle, where old stone walls are often preserved, and you can enjoy plenty more than half a day. This is the only hot spring in the surrounding area where you can arrive within about 10 minutes from the Noshi Station, which is the closest to Kadono, on the Akechi Railway, or take a leisurely ride while watching the rice fields on the electric bicycle from Kadono for about 40-50 minutes. As several pharmacists say, the Great Tenmei Famine that occurred between 1782 and 1786 led to epidemics as well as nationwide bad crops, but the hot spring water was reported to have helped many people recover and save lives. There is also a restaurant at the hot spring, so you can return to Kadono after filling your stomach after a sweat.

Welcome to an annual event called "Painting a rice field with rice of different colors on a canvas". It takes about 20 minutes by electric bicycle from Kadono, near the Akechi Railway Yamaoka Station. From the rice planting in June to the rice harvesting in October, you can enjoy the rice field art of the year from the nearby Iwakura Park observation deck for five months.

If you drive for about 25 minutes by electric bicycle from Kadono, you can get to the "Akechi Mitsuhide Yukari no Kuni", which is scattered around the town. The Toki Akechi Castle's "Akechi Mitsuhide Kosan-no-Yu" well, the graves of the mother temple "Omaki no Tomb", and the "Akechi Mitsuhide Public School" are scattered in relatively small areas. Although there are some steep hills, you can easily get around with an electric bicycle. It would be nice to enjoy it along with Akechi's retro city tour.
