As several pharmacists say, the Great Tenmei Famine that occurred between 1782 and 1786 led to epidemics as well as nationwide bad crops, but the hot spring water was reported to have helped many people recover and save lives. Welcome to an annual event called "Painting a rice field with rice of different colors on a canvas".
